I know for me when starting a new build or a reno I need a starting point, sometimes that can be the wall color, the tile, the hardware.. etc
For us it seems to be the vanity (or potential sofa table - it will all make sense in the end you'll see)
Friday at 3pm my sweets zipped to the annex and picked up a dozen boards and threw them into the back of the truck... and off we were to my dads work shop
We started with these...
this little guy did most of the wire brushing - ok like all of it - he is such a big helper
(and if you mention it could be dangerous - that only heightens the appeal)
we made sure everyone was wearing there proper steel toed shoe attire - you know safety first ??
(for the record my dad had his on - he had just arrived from work literally as we attached the last leg)
but in true "fuzzy" style he made sure everything was square and level
the pic below is after one coat of finish (clear) - on the legs and sides (only a billion more coats to go)
I will be using a different product for the top to ensure any moisture that does get land on the top of the "vanity/sofa table" - no damage will be done
It took us 3hrs from start to finish - including our designing as we built strategy
(i had a prelim sketch & design that we just modified as we went)
It is a beautiful start !!
