I am comparing my life to a pizza today
(this is a new one even for me)
it is loaded
drippy with too many toppings
I really like all the toppings though
but alas... it is messy
and sometimes my absolute favorite toppings (like my family)
they fall off to make room for my less favorite
(am I losing you here... or just making you hungry ??)
I have known for a long time that I have to give 110% to everything I do,
but I also know I haven't always been able to do that
and I haven't always shown myself the grace I needed when I didn't live up to my own expectations
why do i do that!!
this isn't bad news people... this is good news... and sometimes making the tough decision to eliminate a couple toppings will still make you full - but a good full... not an uncomfortable full... know what I mean!
anyway enough about pizza.... lets see what is new around here
Our flooring arrived to finish off the master ensuite
(we were short one box of tile - and it takes min. 3 months to arrive - ugg - lesson learned)
I have started resourcing window coverings for the ensuite as well - I am looking at linen
(linen in the bathroom - yes I am!)
Painting the main hall and entrance are still top of the list, and the arrival of this fella above
is spurring me on to see this room finished... painting the cabinet has always been my intent
but I haven't decided exactly what I want to do here yet
part of the design also includes sourcing a new entrance chair (ikea has one that has me smitten)
as well as this one from Pier 1 - this one has been on my list for a very long time for any location in my home - I have always liked it, and the deeper color would set itself apart from our light wood floors
also on the list is some great artwork (which I want to make myself)
- or a mirror... the old faithful standby
this room will also be getting a new view... but more on that soon
the kitchen installer will be finishing up today - fingers crossed
and many other outdoor projects on the go while, or should I say when, the weather co-operates!
Have a great week!
(don't eat to much pizza)
