Vertical vs. Horizontal

Freezers that is...

I have been day-dreaming about this little room for a while...

I patched the walls and now it sits - a sad sad little room

This little room is located just off our back entrance and it seems to be the catch all for all sorts of "to get to later" items
(notice the boxes of tile - double shesh)

Last weekend while my sweets worked at the shop I took E with me and we cruised around the city looking at freezers... not very glamorous really as my budget is very small

so this is what i found and i think this is the one

our current freezer works but it's footprint is large and I need the space for storage; like the cv hose & attachments primarily

I wish I could say this is the "after" photo, but not just yet... but it is inspiring me as I just love the look.

I think it will be perfect for our "little room"

I have done some preliminary cabinet pricing at Home.Depot & Ikea but $1400 is not in my budget... so custom "homemade" cabinets looks to be most favorable for the budget. I am thinking dark grey cabinets like the ones above... (and instead of a snazzy red washer & dryer duo it will be an upright freezer - ooo maybe i will paint it red or with chalk board paint)... and above the freezer will be another cabinet for storage - i like the look of the art work above - but practically i need the storage space more.

just another future project to add to the long list of house project wishes

maybe it would be easier just to build again ?? hey sweets
