K - "when I was a kid I would take a bag of pop bottles and bike to town, the grocery store took our pop bottles for exchange. I always got a jumbo freezie with the money"
E - "oh I hope that person shows up at school again with those things!"
K - silence and a random eye & body shift
Me - "A person with things shows up at school ??"
E - "yeah"
Me - "maybe you should have a banana" (brain food)
Me - "E that's almost like saying a squirrel can fill its cheeks with it"
A - "A banana?"
K - "no, nuts!"
seriously this happen almost daily in our house - the other day I even told E he can take me on his first date someday and I will interpret for him
his response...
"I can't wait to take you on a date mom"
so sweet, sadly I think he missed the point... but still so sweet! I hope in years from now when he is old enough to date - he will remember this

Yes, I have to say giving kids ice cream for wearing helmets is a great community initiative! Mama's approved
Oh Connie - I think going on a date with you would be a blast! I am not sure our kids would approve of our antics - as laughter would be 99% of that date!
