"When on a holiday, buy a rug each day"
Yup that is what they say!
We recently took a little drive to visit family for the "turkey holidays"
It may have been the first time we left our home radius in 6 months
Moving our farm yard has been, well, keeping us close to home lets say... and really... we haven't minded at all
however visiting and staying in a beautiful "historic" home was what we all needed (did I mention the home was not being renovated - so all the bathrooms actually had toilets in them... oh what a novel idea)
anyway... i am getting off track here
So keeping in mind the saying above, and yes that really is what they say
I came home with a rug for each day
Day 1
Day 2
Day 3 & 4
They also say if your away for more than three days you need to spend over 5 hrs in Ikea with your bff and laugh so hard that strangers approach you telling you how wonderful it is to hear laughter, and i quote this is what they did say
"you gals look like your having so much fun in here"
I think our biggest laugh came when we entered Ikea at 10am, and around noon a staff member announced over the intercom "good evening..." clearly that staff person worked in a dark room with no windows or clocks! But for a moment we really thought we might have missed supper (and lunch for that matter)!
Our home still currently looks like chaos, but everyday I feel more and more like it is our home.
The boys both commented this morning over breakfast that this morning felt like it did in our last home - normal!
