House Happenings Updated

I zipped over to the fabric store today with my sweets he was not there for moral support - HUGE SIGH he was actually my chauffer today as i am moving a lot like frankenstein lately - pulled my shoulder/neck - not pleasant - wouldn't recommend it ! Success we I found these...

Our living room is very brown... i like brown... just maybe not this much at one time and in hopes to remedy this i found six fabrics in two color groups white's w/ black

creamy white's with color ( L to R - creamy white canvas/watercolor/yarn stripe)

initially my plan was to trade out our black curtains with white panels, likely a canvas type material recover some of our current pillows with a black and white patterned material recover brown leather ottoman with white material what am i thinking now ?? i am really loving this material... silk scarves woven in a taupe brown polyester $25/m

due to the $ on this material i think i will cover only the top of the ottoman and use the creamy white canvas for the bottom - or leave the bottom the brown leather so it would look something like this

i would use the same canvas shown on the bottom of the ottoman for our curtain panels cost @ approx. $60 total (this would cover our large 8' wide window floor to ceiling and the ottoman) - fantastic - then purchase 1m of the water color material for a couple thrown pillows i then think i will paint this little guy a color...

and i just so happen to have these two little "mini pails" of sample paint that i picked up a couple months ago for $1.99 each

and they work well with both of the fabrics i am thinking of going with...

hmmm now to decide what color to paint it... any suggestions ??

lastly this wall is needing some help... behind the couch is a walkway and this tree has done it's time and i have a plan for a new location for him. this is what i am thinking would look great here!
