The "Crazies" Live Here
Sometimes I think I should have that embroidered on a pillow
"The Crazies Live Here"
And it should sit on that beautiful bench (that my dad made) on our front porch
Not so much as a warning to those entering, but just because maybe you just kinda need to know that sort of stuff
or perhaps you would do this one
(which i must confess i have thought about it for some of our past guests - sadly)
or maybe something pretty like this... liking the weathered teak bench too
these are colorful for spring - luvin the colors
(as how can you not feel spring in this weather)
(both pics via censational girl)
Sooooo
What would your pillow say!
What got me thinking about all this has been the weather we have been having - i am thinking outdoor living spaces now, and the fact that recently we put together a family photo and a quick little write up about ourselves for each of our pastors. I think I summed us up in as few of words as possible. But it got me thinking. I often think to myself during the day that my children are "randomly generated" - seriously i need to be ready at any moment for the randomness of what they come up with, as one question usually have three topics within the one question - maybe it is a boy thang
(I do admit I totally love it though... I love happiness & laughing - it feels good)
Pre kids we were snl watchers... however no longer as that is way to late to stay up
I think we both just liked the "randomly generated" stuff that came out of the show (given that not all suited our moral values) but that gave opportunity for a refill on the nachos or to do a little channel surfing
but while thinking about our little family bundle - i see that we really are and can be more than we might want to admit - a g-rated version of snl. Sometimes while having supper and "A" won't eat his veggies, my sweets can pipe up with "I pitty da fool, who don't eat his vegetables" (like he is BA from A-team), in which case we all laugh and "A" laughs/cries cause he knows this ends with him eating his vegetables. My oldest likes to make sounds effects as we drive around the city - squeals around corners and erches at stop signs and lights. (which usually ends with laughter or me saying "okay that is enough") he makes sounds like water is dripping as we walk down side walks or he growls, and more than once i have had people ask if we have a dog. My video cam and camera are filled to the brim with odd laughing videos and pictures of computer screens where they were playing a game, or of random house shots that show nothing in particular - but often include their noses.
But it is alllllll good... and I am learning to see Gods blessings in the "crazy" and "randomly generated" little stuff.
soooooo all in all....
What is your pillow going to say ?
