Oh PB why must you taunt me?

Why some of you may be thinking peanut butter - which yes I have a weakness for - especially wrapped in chocolate or white flour in the shape of a cookie aka a pb cookie

However I am actually referring to pottery.barn

while on the trip I grabbed my pottery.barn catalog to look over on the plane - ahhhhh so pretty

And then when we arrived at our hotel the lobby was beautiful - so I was on a pretty decor high

but when we entered our room - the decor left me dazed & confused

the bedspread was straight out of the 80's and was a glorious yellow gold
(I took those babies off immediately and they remained folded on a chair in the corner for the rest of the trip)

the walls and crown molding were a bright sunny yellow (which you can guess looked amazing with the brownish yellow gold bedspread - now sitting in the corner). The furniture was redish-burgundy wood tones, the floors were a cream colored marble (those were really nice) and the curtains had every color of the rainbow on them

and check out those lamps - ahhhhh

Question - Is a lamp still a lamp if there is only half of it?

So with the visions of pottery.barn still dancing in my head I knew that I would not be taking home any of the hotel room design ideas with me

what had my fancy...

the candlewick series - only $850

the ruched series - only $700

However if that isn't your price point (or mine) - check out this beauty at sears

the delicate matters series - only $180

weird how that $180 doesn't seem so bad after the first two

However being the "sale" gal I am - I need to find a better deal somewhere

hmmmmmmmm

can you say home.sense

(note: if you keep in mind that our room had 1.5 lamps and there were 400 rooms that is only 600 lamps required versus the 1200 lamps they would have needed if they had used 3 full lamps per room - now that is one thrifty designer)
