A Long Recap

Thanks guys for continuing to stop by to check out my blog - so appreciated

When I left you all a few weeks back - during mothers day week to be exact

I was happily sniffing the flowers and eating them too - the cake my sweets picked up for mothers day mmmmmmmm it was sooo d'lish

And then.... I went to crazy town

I luv luv my hobby job - spring is a crazy time and for some reason it just keeps getting crazier

the amount of houses on my list keeps growing daily - sooo blessed

finding balance is still a never ending struggle for me - "to be honest"
(my sweets teases me every time I say that - as somehow I am implying that I can be dishonest - nope not in my dna)

I bet you didn't know that if you say "I luv my job I luv my job..." multiple times in a row really really fast it starts to sound like eyelumajub

now aren't you glad you stopped by to know that - hee hee

all good though - no complaining here - just a whole lotta yawning

soooooo GUESS WHAT

The tile in my kitchen is done - no seriously it is

I found a corner of energy hiding out in my left ankle and it was just enough to get the tiling done

sadly the grouting did not turn out the way I had anticipated and the grout went on in a fairly unpleasant manner

this resulted in my scraping and working on each tile grout line with a grout line tool for three hours

I am fairly confident it was the grout product as I am no tiling pro but in all my tiling projects I have never had a product work so poorly

so think twice before you pick this grout up

(don't mind the "clean" dishes - we eat here too)

the area over the random band of tile that runs past the uppers by the stove will have open shelving above and the clock will be moved up. we debated running shelving all the way up - but we look at this clock all the time and felt lost when it was down - so likely a shelf with a shallow depth will be going here - and it just so happens we have it already - a picture frame ledge shelf from ikea, that we will cut down to fit exactly inline with the tile. (we have bar stools in this area as well so someone sitting there would feel the shelf in their personal face space if the shelf was too deep)

Oh and I almost forgot

I started a kitchen redesign at my in-laws last week and even though they are currently living with three shades of paint sample color on their kitchen walls - the cabinet handles are on order and we are looking at countertop options - it is progress

I also had a blast doing some fabric shopping for our outdoor furniture (which I found the perfect material for and already purchased - a sneak peak below)

picked up these super cool hanging chrome baskets over the weekend as well @ s.store - all part of the plan
