This week has been a week of getting random items crossed off our list
I cleaned out my boys closets as my youngest was still trying to wear clothes that were 5 sizes to small
A couple of his little shirts I just couldn't part with so I put them in the keepsake pile (keep that in your memory)
That brings us to today
My sweets is out and about bringing 6 totes of little boys clothes to the consignment shop
(this is NOT a typical task for my guy - taking him to Home.Sense is a huge stretch - so I am wondering if he will be twitching when he returns)
I had a large tote of my clothes to bring in for consignment as well - but my niece went through it all so I am thankful that I can scratch that task/trip off my list altogether
Bringing in all our recycling (cans, milk jugs, and cardboard)
And he is also returning two carpets I bought last week for the back entrance - apparently they were too fancy to walk on for the boys - I had to agree
The carpet was so pretty and it went really well with the grey cabinet color, and the grey&white stripe fabric
but alas sadly I knew it would be just to hard to keep it clean
This week we also hung 9 pictures around the house - that is huge for us
(I feel like we are finally moving in to our home)
Check these three out
remember the keepsake clothes - well three of the little shirts that I has slated for the keepsake box where just to cute to hide away
so I DIY framed them
a close up of one of them
I used three Ikea.Ribba frames that I already had
First I ironed the shirts and then stretched them over the board baking that comes with the frames - worked like a charm
I don't think I would recommend doing this with a stained or ripped shirt - but these were in new condition so having them become art was possible
the boys luv the new artwork in their play/hangout area
This past week I also put together a couple gallery walls
we just need to hang them - pictures to follow soon
Have a fabulous weekend
