Brown Boredom...

I am not sure if I am just crazy'ish & cannot resist the thrill of painting

cause....

I luv how a touch of paint can "re-look" items I already have around the home

take for instance the brown cabinet in the front entrance

I picked it up at Home Sense last year

and seriously it has been taunting me to repaint it

but I keep saying no I like it the way it is

that lasts for a couple weeks and then I am back to thinking about painting it

now in the current finishes defense - it does go great with our floors

& to refinish it and mess it up

would mean sadness as gold foiling the cabinet like it currently is

I don't have the energy for that at this point

however

I am fairly confident that a coat of charcoal paint - dried

then a coat of my office paint - distressed

would look pretty good from the view point of my office

however

from the front door - that I am not as sure about

so I ponder

what do you think?

Oh and the Annex progress yesterday - sooo much further than we had anticipated

very happy

thanks dad x2, W, C, for helping - this was a big job

(and thanks mom x2 for helping me feed the guys)

Seven more walls and the floor remain - along with all the old cables and augers to clean up

my sweets kept all the old brackets and bolts - we have plans for those
