...boys are sparky...

i was trying to think of a creative way to describe my boys and all i could come up with was "SPARKY" i am not sure why but that is what i came up with.

we have been having some really great family times lately. we did a road trip last week to visit friends and family, i was spoiled though and got to fly out ahead of the boys who drove out a couple days later... the reason for the pre-flight was to have a couple days with just us girls... it was so fun.

what did we do ??

well we did the usual shopping, Vietnamese food, lots of coffee (including the new s-bucks Christmas coffee, my fav is the peppermint mocha, which i think is queen of the coffee drinks really... as just think about it, you get the inevitable coffee breath (yes you know what i am talking about) and then the peppermint runs up and kicks that ol coffee breath thing you got going on right out of there... way to go queen peppermint mocha !!)

oh and just as a side note, Singapore s-bucks has a dark cherry mocha, that would be kind of fun to try

so of course with all the coffee and eating and shopping, there was lots of chatting. it was soooooooo good.

now more details on the shopping...

well i came home with tons of ideas of stuff i can d.i.y. and drum roll please...... brrrrrruuuuuuummm tash... some tiles for the backspalsh were purchased. it was a tough decision, but my sweets was confident on one so we went with it. we picked up (well 90 to be exact) 4x12 white subway tiles, at only 75cents per tile it was a very very good deal (when compared to the $420 the marble key largos would have cost me). so i hope to tackle that project soon along with the list of many other projects i have on that there list. this creative brain of mine keeps me busy... and all smiles

so imagine these tiles in white, 4x12 (these look more like 3x12), with staggered joints, and white cabinets with black granite look countertop and walnut floors... i know it is a bit of a stretch but this was the closest potential picture that i could find

so i am sorry blog i know i have been leaving you to stand on your own for a couple weeks but it has been a little busy around here... so this week coming up i plan to charge the camera batteries and get some before and hopefully after photos of some of those projects!

**update.... my phone decided to work and sent the pic i took of a couple tile in my kitchen... so if you were having a difficult time visualizing it... here yah go!!

have a great week everyone!
