Step 4
I finished painting yesterday afternoon - it took 3 hrs to cut in
(I did that the night before)
And it only took 1/2 hr to roll the whole room
The Room measures approx. 17' x 6.5' and the area where the freezer and cabinets will be going is 50" x 66". The freezer and cabinets occupy the 50" width space
So with the freezer being 30" wide I have approx 18" for the cabinet (pantry style) beside the freezer
(see the sketch in my previous post x2)
I have some natural bamboo blinds hanging in the back entrance which used to go nicely with the previous color - however they need an update now. Perhaps one of these fabrics
something in gray would balance the gray cabinets on the other side of the room - perhaps
A TIP:
I had an unused canvas at home which I painted with my wall color
I thought taking a sample to look for fabric would be a good idea - and a sample 18"x20" should be even better
We had a set of coat hooks hanging in the entrance (hangers are a tricky thing - hooks seem to actually get used). I had painted them the previous wall color, so i proceeded to do the same - only now i am thinking white would have looked better - I am so going to do that
So for the size of our room, i bought one pail of paint, and can you see how much i have left in this picture ?? When i said this paint was amazing - seriously it is amazing I only needed one coat - and i will bet anyone to find a flaw anywhere - this paint covers amazingly (if only i could say that about the orange behr paint i used in the little mans room - ugg)
so with just a little over 2/3 of a can left of paint
I am wondering what my office might look like in this color
unfortunately the floor tile looks a tad almond/yellow'ish now...
you should have seen my sweets face when I said
"wouldn't slate floors look amazing"
