It's Happening

It is Building season and work is super busy for me - which also means our house becomes last on the list

However on thursday we zipped into town and picked up a couple crucial items for our own home projects

I think for our own sanity we needed to see these projects completed

The List:
Grout for the kitchen
Paint for the back mudroom

So remember back a month ago when I posted a sad photo of our area off the mudroom that hosts our freezer and various house accessories

we decided to list the freezer on-line and it sold fast

we removed the cabinets on saturday and relocated them to the laundry room

so now the room looks like this

this morning I filled even more holes

and after lunch is painting time

what color did I go with?

the inspiration was martha.stewarts color - milk pail , however I knew I would not be using her line of paint so I headed off to my favorite paint store and raindance matched close with a slight hint of gray - which i luved (the color raindance is from their classic color collection if your looking for it)

I again went with the aura paint - definitely worth the extra money in my opinion - this paint will not disappoint - goes on beautifully, effortlessly, and maximum two coats - even over new drywall

last night I put together a sketch of the cabinets - those will be built this next weekend

I will likely be going with smoke gray on the cabinets (again by benjamin.moore using aura)

This is the freezer we have decided on

I hope to swing by lee.valley this week as well and pick out the handles

so progress is happening - yeah

now off to paint - and hopefully I can wear off all that paska I ate over the weekend!
