(you have to nod when you say it - maybe throw your arms in the air in a "yo in ur face" kinda way)
This past week was here to be noticed
It has been great all good stuff - we are so blessed
work is busy - like 18 houses by the end of the week busy
But truly the most importantly part of the week was my first baby had a birthday
Being that it was such a busy week planning for the party was quick - however he insisted on a sleepover
I agreed and then the process of who can come for the night begins, making & sending out invites, planning food, seeing what movie is appropriate for all to watch (as younger brother will be there too)
it all went well - he is my child that knows, also enjoys, and contributes to our pretty subdued kinda house style and shenanigans are not a regular occurence with him
the party was fabulous - we ate pizza&chips - drank pop&ate cake - he was happy
this year we tried something new and gave him a budget for his party - what he saved he could keep and put towards something he is saving for - success
the day after his birthday he announced at breakfast
"I think I feel wiser now than I did yesterday cause I am a year older"

He is such a handsome soul inside & out
on saturday my sweets decided that before he is busy out on the field - he should work on the annex
he hauled five loads away and we are now officially half way through tearing the grainary annex down
it could take us a while as we are salvaging the wood that can be salvaged
and there are a lot of nails and spikes that we need to keep off the yard and that has been very labor intensive
sunday we were back on the trails and did roughly 20kms
my parents joined us, but sadly after 30 minutes into the ride my dad was having arm&chest pains, and shortness of breath (he had triple by-pass less than two years ago) so they headed back to the truck and then home to rest. (He had come from the doctors that morning so we were keeping an eye on him to begin with) but you should have seen him go - i had to peddle like crazy to catch & keep up with him
we stopped at s-bucks and DQ - mmmmm and we all came home with sun/wind burned faces
It was a great week
