Changing it up - Christmas Style...

Sometimes I find it easier to just do the same thing every year when it comes to Christmas decor

I had thoughts of changing it up with the Christmas tree, maybe some new bling - but found out that all my decoration colors purchased new last year - were this years colors ???? hmmmmmm

I am not saying that I am personally responsible for the new trend this year or anything - but I am really happy that I look like I have it all together this year - even if it is just by co-incidence
(cue zoom in for facial close-up) or is it ???

So while my tree is covered in Gold, Silver, and a bronzed brown - with hints of jeweled red...  I thought I should mix it up with the entrance this year

The Entrance is after all the first space in your home that everyone will see as they arrive for Christmas... and since we are hosting this year - I luv hosting - I felt it was simply a must to include this space into the merriment of Christmas
(I really do luv hosting - Am I the only one who finds when you host Christmas you are busier and sit less because your well busy hosting - I know I am - therefore I sit & eat less - total win win)

A few weeks ago I found this beauty 75% off at the Sears Home Store

Someday it will be filled with succulents bringing some greenery & life to my office - once my new desk arrives

- until then I am using it to hold all our Christmas cards -

I also picked up these wooden trees at Home Outfitters last weekend
(I came across them while looking for office lamps)
they were marked down by 70%
(sweet a mark down on current Christmas goods - before Christmas)

The tallest tree - approx.24" tall & the smaller tree - approx.16" tall
(they had another one approx. 30" tall as well)

my Sweets response to them - "You could have made those for free"
my response - "thanks, ummm .... when ??"

What decorating have you done differently this year - Have you found any great pre-Christmas deals?
