Finally...

So a couple days back i had this burst of energy late in the evening and i thought to myself "hey i should work" then i thought... "nope" i am going to finally finish project "our room". so i headed down to my "art/wall decor" stash and new right away that these round mirrors i had bought way back would be prefect! I had also picked up this cute white round'ish mirror about 4 years ago at S.Store for $8 knowing it would go somewhere someday up on a wall in our house, so i grabbed that and these two new frames I had purchased a couple weeks ago at Pier 1.

Before...

After...

We have never had anything hanging on the walls in our room till now as i knew it had to be just right before i was willing to make a bunch of holes in the walls

A-man thinks the white mirror needs to be painted to match the other round mirrors but i kind of like the contrast... what do you think... should i paint it or leave it?
(now that i think of it, it is kind of embarrassing to admit that i have 6 mirrors hanging above our bed)

anyhoo moving on... now for that corner with the chaise... the original thought was that we would move the chaise down to the living room and move my office armoire up to that wall where it could house some of our clothing as we do not own dressers... but i have come to realize two things a)that i really just need to down size my wardrobe, and b)if we move the chaise to the living room where will i fold the laundry... so it stays as is but "the scenery around it changes".

Before... with fake fig tree

After... sans fake fig tree

the new frames from Pier 1 work perfectly (just need the perfect prints or photos to come)... and the cool thing is that they mirror what is already going on in our bath area...

I also hung a full length mirror that i found at H.Depot for $10 behind our door as sometimes (okay lots and lots of times) i had wished i had checked myself out in one prior to venturing out in public!

so project "our room" is done... for now anyway... if i happen to stumble across the perfect pillow(s) i may alter that a little but otherwise i am very happy with the way it turned out!!

okay so my sweets took me out for a great supper the other night... we had thought we would grab something quick and unbeknownest to us we walked into this total escape that was about to surprise us! there was live music in the corner of the restaurant and this older gentleman straight from Sicily served with an authentic disposition... it was really great. I ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara, and my sweets ordered the Spaghetti Fruit de Mar

now the food was mucho $$ but we can't wait to venture off to "Sicily" again really soon... so worth it.... Hah and apparently the marilyn monroe decor doesn't hurt either (the owners must really like marilyn)

looks great! I LOVE that little white mirror-- perfect! Oh, and I just read the post about camp-- I can't wait for Caleb to go to camp one day! I sure hope I'll be ready to let him go in a few years :)
