our hotel for the weekend was... need i say more
also dubbed as "THE RETRO BUS". prior to my dads heart surgery last summer he had "must own a motor home" on his bucket list, and well here it is (and he is still here too - surgery went well)... anyway let me take you on a tour.
ladies and gentlemen that is quality blue leather you are looking at, no pleather on this ride, and for some reason when i sit in on the couch i crave a martini and feel like saying "bond james bond" ??? weird isn't it
that phone is actually real wood, and just left of the flowers is a built in counter blender, ummm must be for those martini's i was craving
of course we could not spend the whole weekend watching videos of the beverley hillbillies, not while the weather was as hot as it was that is forsure.
Perfect fishing weather... even if you were not expecting to catch anything
our little guy all summer long would promptly tell anyone who asks him that "i do not like water sports just fishing" but something happened on sunday, he just announced he was going and once he got on the tube he did not get off, as he constantly asked to go faster, as you can see in the pic he is all thumbs up (which he knows means "go faster") the waves were high on sunday and the little guy was air born so many times, but he held on and laughed and laughed.
we are so proud of him for giving it a go on our last weekend out
grandpa also gave whittling lessons and the proper was to carve (mommy and daddy not so keen on the idea of carving/whittling - so this will remain a camping activity only)
we grabbed a family self-portrait down by the water later in the evening as the sun went down, it was beautiful and the water was calm
monday the water looked like this all day, it just teased us with the desire to make some boat waves, but sadly we must wait till next year
the boys had fun with their boogie boards though and the water was warm and crystal clear
and just to add a couple pics from our last weekend out... i just thought this looked so cool how the sand went straight into the water
