On monday the electrician's arrived to address a lighting issue in the mudroom that although it wasn't a safety issue - it just kinda took the wind out of my sails
I should have known & planned for this design flaw - uggg...
So lets start at the beginning shall we
(just in case you are new around here)
This past summer this is what I started with...
We sold the freezer & purchased an upright, and relocated the "uppers" to the laundry room (the rest of the mess just got cleaned up or tossed)
Bringing us to this point...
After a fresh coat of "Aura" paint - color "Raindance" by Benjamin Moore, and the new upright freezer in place
We had this...
After researching cabinet prices, I eventually decided on custom cabinets done by a local company. Ordering was quick & easy, the hardest part was waiting for them to arrive. We decided to save some cost by installing them ourselves - for us the install went quick & we had no issues.
I chose a Shaker style door with a semi-transparent Cape Cod Gray finish...
We now have the much needed storage that we were looking for(we did take all but one of these shelves out where we then installed a bracket to hold our central vac hose, all the attachments & both vac bars fit inside the cabinet as well perfectly)
A view inside
Install complete...
Can you see the "issue", the "design flaw" - I still can't believe I didn't plan for it
And thankfully when Electricians stop by good things happen... Tadaaaaaaa
Mudroom Finale Part 2 of 2 coming very soon...
